Volodymyr Virchis

Ukrainian professional boxer who stands in the heavyweight category. Virchis is known as "Hunter," became professional in 1999, in battle with Andrew Oliynyk.

Was born in New Kakhovka.

September 21, 2002 Volodymyr won the title of Intercontinental Champion in battle with the American boxer Thomas Williams, who had behind 37 fights, including 26 victories, besides 17 – knockout. American began to attack, but Virchis drove him into a corner by powerful strokes and knocked in 60-second of the first round.

In 2007 he became European champion EBU.

September 27, 2008 in the qualifying battle for the chance to battle with the World Champion by the WBC he lost to Juan Carlos Gomez by judges decision (110-117, 109-117, 111-115), and then announced the retirement, but October 24, 2009 returned to ring, winning a unanimous decision of the judges in the 6-round fight with Latvia boxer Edgars Kalnars in the boxing show in Cuxhaven, Germany.

He has 24 victories, including 20 by knockout, and 2 defeats (against Ruslan Chagaev and Juan Carlos Gomez).
