The government of Kherson significantly increases the costs for environmental

The government of Kherson significantly increases the costs for resolving environmental issues of the city – the amount of funds envisaged to the city program "Ecology 2015" more than one and a half times greater than that, which it was spent on the previous local environmental programs.

According to the correspondent of UKRІNFORM, that fact made public Mayor Vladimir Saldo at the press conference.

"The amount of funds needed to implement the Programme "Ecology 2015" (in 2012 prices) is 82 million 592 thousand UAH. For the implementation of the Programme "Ecology," which was approved in 2006 and operated until the end of 2011 was spent almost 48 million UAH," - he said.

As the Mayor announced, the program "Ecology 2015" is designed for four years and provides a wide range of activities. Among them: water recourses preservation, improving the quality of drinking water, solving problems of flooding, repair of sewers, prevention of contamination of groundwater, maintaining of green space, reduction of air pollution and other environmental measures.
